Hello~

I'm Miranda Dean!

I am the owner of Miranda Dean Photography.

I went to Pellissippi State and graduated with a degree in Photography in 2016. I also have a certificate in Basic Photography and Studio Photography. I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America)

Since then, I worked at Dollywood in the Photography department, first as a host and then as a team lead. I did various photo shoots on the side during that time. It has always been the plan to do my own photography. I do real-estate photography, which I have come to really enjoy. I've done Graduation sessions, weddings, family sessions, engagement sessions, family events, and photographed local events. In 2023 I photographed local events such as the Pride Festival and College Promise on UTK campus.

I was born and raised in East Tennessee but have Filipino roots. My Grandmother was born and raised in the Philippines and my mother was born there as well.

I've always been interested in photography, I used to go through a lot of disposable cameras as a kid. When I got a point-and-shoot digital camera, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I mostly took pictures of our home, my dogs, family, and friends. Those are memories I still cherish and look back on today.

Working as a theme park photographer, I got so much joy taking people's photos. Seeing their photos at the end of their day and having them be so happy to take home a memory was such a wonderful part of my day. I love doing that with my own photography as well and want to do it so much more. I love putting a smile on people's faces and offer a service to help them create memories and keep them.

I am easy-going, I try to be kind and compassionate every day. When you choose me as your photographer, I'll be the same way. I listen to my clients, and make sure we're on the same page. I try to make it a stress free and fun experience. I'm here to help you create memories you can look back on. I love doing events as well as portrait sessions. My photo style is candid and photojournalistic. I like to tell stories with my photos, and it puts everyone in a more natural state.
